Supercritical Water Gasification/Oxidization
Supercritical Water Gasification refers to the processing of high water content carbonaceous refuse by making use of the features of water under supercritical state including fast reaction speed, complete reaction and high heat exchange efficiency. This technology is suitable for processing caustic sludge, high water content (over 85%) civil and industrial sludge and high concentration and degradation-resistant liquid waste generated in pharmaceutical, dye and coal chemical industry. It can process contaminant with low cost and completely eradicate secondary pollution (carbon converts to carbon dioxide; hydrogen converts to water; nitrogen converts to nitrogen gas and sulphur converts to sulfate in the ash content and are all stabilized.)
ENN Energy Research Institute has established the largest supercritical pilot plant test platform (6 ton/day) in China in 2011 and has used this platform to develop supercritical water treatment technologies for contaminants including civil sludge, dyeing sludge, antibiotic residues, caustic sludge, coking wastewater, pharmaceutical residue, etc.
Using ENN Supercritical Water Gasification to process civil sludge and antibiotic residues can achieve over 99%conversion ratio of organic matters and over 90% volume reduction ratio. The clean effluent water can meet Level 1 of the national emission standards. Besides, it can also sufficiently recycle the heat in the pollutants and has lower cost than that of landfill processing method and burning method.
