ENN Energy Holdings Limited (2688.HK) contains the rapidly growing downstream energy business of the ENN Group, focusing mainly on the distribution and retail of natural gas.

The listed company operates city gas networks in 152 cities across 17 provinces and autonomous regions of China, delivering natural gas to more than 12 million residential households and 56,000 industrial/commercial customers. It operates 576 LNG/CNG fueling stations and owns more than 30,000 kilometres of intermediate and trunk gas pipelines across the country, forming one of the largest private natural gas networks in China.

The company’s sales volume of natural gas has been growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 47% per year for the past 15 years. It sold 11.3 billion cubic metres (423 pJ) of natural gas in 2015. ENN Energy distributes 1.88 million tons of LNG annually accounting for about 20% of the LNG trade volume in China. In 2015, the company was the largest user of LNG in China.

It has expanded into Vietnam where it has 43.89% stake in PetroVietnam Gas City (listed on Vietnam Stock Exchange: PCG), supplying and selling natural gas to residential and industrial/commercial customers in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh and Danang, as well as operating LNG/CNG refuelling stations in Vietnam.
