UK is seeking new energy partnership with China

                   David Miliband is asking Dr. Zhou Deling, GM of ENN Solar Energy about ENN’s silicon thin film solar modules that just behind him in the demonstrative field.

March 15, Langfang China: Britain Foreign Secretary David Miliband get his eyes refreshed on China’s clean energy technologies as he visits ENN’s solar module production plant and low-carbon energy technology experimental center in Langfang, a city beside Beijing.

At ENN, David Miliband saw a world-leading production line that produce 5.7 square meters silicon thin-film solar modules, as well as the technology that use microalgae to fix carbon dioxides and produce bio-diesel.

Miliband got much interested and praised the great capability of ENN’s R&D team.
It’s said that he had got impressed of ENN from an earlier Guardian report on ENN’s energy innovation. Before this visit, UK Trade & Investment, as being appointed, had contacted ENN for discussing about the potential cooperation on energy innovation and environmental services.

In ENN demonstrative field, David Miliband received interviews from the media, Routers and China Central Television included.

“We both are committed to a progressive multi-lateralism. I think it’s very important as we seek ways to work together (esp. in the fields of new energy and climate change),” Miliband confirmed UK’s seeking for the cooperation with China, “ The purpose of this visit is to ensure the real practical means of taking that forward, not just find words.”

He said, the world should work together and turn national actions into an international commitment, in order to set up the goal for global carbon reduction.

China’s new energy technology is one of the main topics of Miliband’s visit, as others include Sino-UK relations, trading and climate change.
