ENN was proud and pleased to welcome Secretary U.S. Steven Chu, the highest level U.S. government official to visit the company’s Zero Emissions from Coal Pilot Plant.

Secretary Chu and his delegation travelled from Beijing to ENN headquarters in Langfang, Hebei Province on June 17th to learn about ENN’s innovations in clean energy technologies.

ENN Chairman, Wang Yusuo, briefed Secretary Chu on ENN’s innovative new technologies that are producing clean energy from coal, improving the efficiency of solar panels and growing more viable bio-fuels.

Secretary Chu toured ENN’s solar panel manufacturing facility and ENN’s Zero Emissions from Coal Pilot Plant.  The pilot plant is where ENN engineers and scientists are using solar energy to grow algae which live off CO2 emitted from burning coal.  The fast growing algae are then processed in bio fuels. The enclosed circular process not only eliminates carbon emissions but turns them into useful energy products.

ENN’s Chairman Wang also discussed ENN’s comprehensive energy solutions program, which is helping city governments switch to cleaner fuels and implement strict conservation measures. ENN is currently providing comprehensive energy services to customers in more than 60 cities in China.

Energy Secretary Chu and Commerce Secretary Gary Locke travelled to China for discussions with their counterparts in the Chinese government.  Secretary Chu also travelled to Tianjin where he gave a speech at Tianjin University.

ENN is a fully integrated clean energy company. It designs, develops and builds infrastructure for its vast distribution network that supplies clean burning gas to millions of customers to heat homes, cool offices, power industry and fuel vehicles.
